Membership

Blackstone Chess Academy offers its members a unique chess experience. Friday night meetings in our intimate club room provide players a chance to meet, compete, and socialize. Enjoy the use of the lounge and restaurant operated by our gracious host, the To Kalon Club.

Blitz and Rapid tournaments are held in a variety of formats on Friday evenings, in addition to casual play at all levels. Serious tournaments are held on the weekends, attracting local masters, IMs and even GMs.

Members can take advantage of these benefits, recieve reduced entry fees for tournaments, use our chess library, and attend lectures and other special events. Come see for yourself on a Friday night.

To join the Blackstone Chess Academy, simply follow the instructions on the membership application. To join the USCF or renew your USCF membership, fill out the USCF application and submit it along with your BCA membership application.

We are located at 26 Main St, Pawtucket RI, just a minute off of interstate 95. Only a few minutes from the East Side of Providence, less than 20 minutes from Warwick, Barrington, Attleboro, and about 30 minutes from Woonsocket, Franklin, Walpole and Fall River.

Directions

From Providence East Side: Follow Hope St. or Blackstone Blvd. to Pawtucket. Continue on East Ave., which becomes George St., and crosses over Route 95. Take the next right, after the Comfort Inn. Take a right at the light onto Main St. The driveway is on the right, just past the light at School St.

From the North: Take Route 95 South to exit 27, Pawtucket- North Providence, Rt. 1-15-114. Take a right off the exit onto George Street. Take your first right (East Ave. Ext./Pleasant St.). Take a right at the light onto Main Street. The driveway is on the right, just past the light at School St.

From the South: Take Route 95 North to exit 28, School St. Take a left off the exit onto School St. Take a right at the light onto Main St. The driveway is immediately on the right.

From Pawtucket: The To Kalon Club is just past the corner of School St. and Main St., across from Apex/DMV.
